At the Library - A Conversation with the Author
Patrolling the Heart of the West: True Tales of a Nevada State Trooper by Steve Raabe Steve Raabe’s book is a compilation of true short stories from his twenty year career in law enforcement. He grew up in Fallon and Carson City and was stationed in Winnemucca, Fallon, Carson City and Reno. He patrolled the wide open spaces of Nevada and has some great tales to tell. This author conversation will be moderated by Ron Belbin, Student Success Librarian with Western Nevada College. The event is Wednesday May 22, 2019 at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served. His mother, father, Karen and Trent were neighbors of ours in Tonopah, Nevada. We moved to Fallon first and then the Kroll's later moved there also. Mother and Wanda were good friends. My brother Michael and Trent were playmates in Tonopah. Mother and my three little children visited the family at their ranch in Fallon. My condolences to Frank's family.
