Friday, September 2 at 6 p.m. join us for the 2008 family fantasy film “The Spiderwick Chronicles.” When the Grace family moves into the run-down Spiderwick Estate they find themselves pulled into an alternate world full of fairies and other creatures. Starring Freddie Highmore, Sarah Bolger, David Strathairn, and Mary-Louise Parker. Our second feature at 6:30 is the 2016 drama “Sully” starring Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart, and Laura Linney. The story of the day pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger lands his damaged plane on the Hudson River to save the flight's passengers and crew, some consider him a hero while others think he was reckless.

Saturday's first feature starting at 6 p.m. is the 1994 sport-comedy “Little Giants.” This movie is adorable for adults and kids alike. Misfits form their own opposing team to an elite peewee football team, coached by the elite team’s coach's brother. Starring Rick Moranis, Ed O'Neill, and John Madden. At 6:30 that evening we will be showing the 1961 classic “Breakfast at Tiffany's” based on the 1958 novella by Truman Capote. A young New York socialite becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building, but her past threatens to get in the way. Stars Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, and Patricia Neal, directed by Blake Edwards.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing.
