Thank you to all that have responded to our sustaining membership mailing. Thank you for the support, we appreciate it very much.

Friday, August 19th, in conjunction with this weekend’s Fallon Community Reunion we will have a free concert featuring Fallon's own Great Basin Band with Dineen Caseday and Larry Little starting at 7 p.m. on our historic stage. Great music from a great band, hope to see you there.

Saturday evening, August 20th, we are back with movies. Starting at 6:00 with the 2019 family adventure film “A Dog's Way Home” which tells the story of a dog named Bella (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) who travels more than 400 miles to find her owner. Also stars Ashley Judd and Jonah Hauer-King. Our second movie, starting at 6:30 is the 1998 comedy crime film “The Big Lebowski” written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. Ultimate L.A. slacker Jeff “The Dude" Lebowski, mistaken for a millionaire of the same name, seeks restitution for a rug ruined by debt collectors, enlisting his bowling buddies for help while trying to find the millionaire's missing wife. This cult classic stars Jeff Bridges as The Dude, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Don't forget next Saturday, August 27th is the 2022 Cantaloupe Festival 5K Fun Run/Walk with registration starting at 7 a.m. The race begins at 8:00 sharp - this is a timed event. The location is the Indoor Pool at 333 Sheckler Road. For more information on this event please visit our website at www.fallontheatre.com.

See you at the movies!

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear. I remember her fondly from the days of my youth at Northside Elementary, many years ago. She and Mrs. Rowe were my favorite office ladies! I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
