Carol's Book Report
Downloadables @ the Library

The library offers movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, TV shows, and magazines for download to your computer, tablet, phone, and TV. There are a couple of options to choose from. All you need is a library card. Instructions for each service are on the website. And staff is available if you need assistance.  They can be accessed through the website anytime day or night.

hoopla offers hundreds of thousands of titles with simultaneous use. That means no waiting. If you see it you can check it out. Right then.

Libby is the Overdrive app and the most heavily used service the library offers. There is a great selection but sometimes there is a wait list for a title.

kanopy offers movies, documentaries, and foreign films. And no waiting for a title here either.

Carol is the Director of the Churchill County Library.  A survey is currently available on the website at www.churchillcountylibrary.org.

Comment author: Patti Cole Comment text: Marie will be forever treasured in memories. The memories remain of a soft-spoken, seemingly unassuming but determined individual who absolutely knew what path she wanted to take in life, and followed it. Her instinctive reactions, which highlighted her steadfast level of love and caring for her family, friends and all living things found in nature, hold lessons for us all. An unexpected splash of her self-deprecating humor, coupled with uncanny timing, will always bring a smile. For me, Marie lives on in the sighting of a Black-crowned night heron in the tules, the bloom of a beautiful spring flower and, most poetically, in the struggle of wildlife photographers handling their very large camera lenses. Her dad Ted was my dad's brother. I never knew Ted or Betty, but I wish I did. I am 73 and live in IL. I am building my family tree and see where Betty has fit in. Blessings to you Curt and family.
