Movies & More

Thanks to all who attended the Will Shamberger Band album release concert last Friday night. We appreciate, as does the band, all your support. As for bands, please mark your calendar for July 16th as the Reno area band, Dusty Miles and the Cryin' Shame take our stage!

On to the movies. Friday, June 24th at 6:30 p.m., we will be showing the 2019 adventure comedy “Jumanji: The Next Level” starring Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Danny DeVito, and Karen Gillan. The gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to rescue one of their own, the players will have to brave parts unknown to escape the world's most dangerous game.

Saturday evening, June 25th, we bring you another classic - the 1952 crime/mystery “The Green Glove” starring Glen Ford, Geraldine Brooks, and Cedric Hardwicke. An ex-soldier and his new girlfriend comb France for a valuable relic. A relic other people are willing to kill for. Our second movie that night, starting at 6:30 is the 2016 animated comedy adventure “The Angry Birds Movie.” When an island populated by happy, flightless birds is visited by mysterious green piggies, it's up to three unlikely outcasts to figure out what those pigs are up to. Featuring the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Maya Rudolph, and Bill Hader.

Have a great summer.

Hope to see you at the movies!

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
