Spectacular Success for CCHS Volunteer Club and E.C. Best

The Wave Volunteers from Churchill County High School held a carnival last Friday night and raised $2,170.00 to help E.C. Best buy playground swings.

The Volunteer Club is student-run and completely voluntary. Members include Alicia Basurto-Fernandez, Ruth Casillas-Ibarra, Jasmin Castanon-Hernandez, Elvira Correa-Chavarin, Corina Craciun-Laris, Coral Escartin, Kadynce Kratka, Cass Lara, Johary Lozano, Chrystal Edith Martinez, Jackson Moon, Sonialynn Natividad, Nicole Nelson, Isaac Nestlerode, Nelly Ruiz Ramirez, Makayla Shawcroft, Brisa Ugalde, and Nemesis Ugalde.

Advisors to the club are Officer Sam Ugalde and Sara McGowan.

The club would like to thank ROTC, the Honor Society, the International Club, and the art students for their help running the booths and helping with setting up and cleaning up.

They also would like to thank and recognize Christine Mori, Laura Gutierrez, Christine Camper, Merrette Boyle, Bonnie Hargis, Lance Lattin, and Jamie Shafer for all their help.
