Obituary - Ernest Leonard Heck

Obituary - Ernest Leonard Heck
Ernest Leonard Heck was born on January 27, 1936 to Harry and Vera Kaiser Heck and passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2019. After his mother’s passing in 1937, he was raised by his aunt, Tess. He attended school in Fallon and graduated CCHS in 1953.  He joined the Army in 1955 and while stationed in Texas met the love of his life, Barbara McGill.  They were married on March 19, 1959 and moved to Fallon. Ernie worked in construction, propane, and as a land broker.  He loved to travel, boat, ride ATVs and enjoyed many hobbies.  He was a wonderful husband, father and Papa. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Barbara Heck; brother Harry and Patricia; son Carl, Michelle; daughter Carole, Mark Roberson; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. We dearly love you, Papa. A remembrance service will be at 10:30 am Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Parkside Bible Fellowship.   Support local, independent news – contribute to The Fallon Post, your non-profit (501c3) online news source for all things Fallon. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
