Obituary -- Molly Jackson
Molly Jackson

On Monday, March 14, 2022, Molly Christine McDougal Jackson, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at the age of 77.

Molly arrived in this world on August 16, 1945. She was the cherished only child of Pat and Christine McDougal. She spent her early years in Hawthorne, Nevada, and then moved to Fallon, where she attended grade school and graduated from Churchill County High School in 1963. She attended business school, and carried a real estate license, working several years in those fields. The majority of her career was spent in the logistics division of Kennametal.

Molly was also one of the first owners of the long-standing business, Desert Rose, where she was able to practice and share her talent of floral arranging, a true passion.

It was no secret that Molly’s first love was Elvis Presley, but Dwayne Jackson won her heart and they married in 1966. They welcomed and raised two beautiful daughters, Jodi and Lanni.

Molly loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was always the bright, sparkly life at any party, most often the last to leave. She loved her friends, Hallmark and cooking channels (although she did NOT cook), popcorn, back rubs, tacos, Bud Light, bowling (in her younger years), golf, gambling, and bingo. She prided herself with her volunteer work with the Legion, planning many successful events. Above all, she loved her family and the time spent with them. She expected phone calls or text messages daily.

Her last ‘new’ love was a Shih Tzu puppy she named Elvis. Despite the multiple bite holes on her fingers, toes, and arms, she cherished sharing her morning coffee and treats with him.

Molly is survived by her husband, Dwayne, of 56 years, her daughters, Jodi Travis and Lanni (Charlie) Mori, five grandchildren, and three (soon to be four) great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at The Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. In celebration of her favorite color, feel free to wear purple.

The family wishes donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home, 2949 Austin Highway Fallon, NV 89406.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
