Maliah’s Minute - School Sport Games

Since I was in middle school, I have been going to school games with friends. All the games are fun because I get to see my friends and cheer on classmates. So far, I have gone to most home basketball games and one volleyball game. Going to these games and supporting our teams I have seen a lot of the good sportsmanship our teams have, and I have learned a lot about how basketball games work. It's fun seeing some of my favorite teachers at the games.

Most games there is a spot where all of our students come sit. It’s fun because a lot of my friends I didn’t come with are there and there are lots of people I know there that I can hang out with. After watching basketball games and our teams being undefeated this year it makes me proud of our school and students. I’m thinking next year is my last year in middle school, I want to try out for volleyball. I have always wanted to but never had the gut to go to tryouts.

Volleyball is all fun and games, but I really want to put in the work and effort if I try out so even if I don't make it, I know I tried my best.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
