Obituary -- Lani Lee Peel
Lani Peel

Lani Lee Peel (Workman), our angel on Earth has gained her wings in heaven. Lani suddenly passed away on January 7th at the age of 78, surrounded by her husband of 60 years, four children, and family.

Lani was born in Monterey Park, CA on November 18, 1943, to Rex and Jean Workman. She moved to Fallon in the 8th grade and has blessed this community with her brightness ever since. She was passionately devoted to God, her family, and friends and remained a steadfast source of positivity to others in all situations. Many will remember her words “Well, we just have to pray about it because it’s in God’s hands”. Now Lani is truly held in God’s hands and her legacy of love, grace, generosity, and kindness will forever live in the hearts of all those who were blessed to know her.

Lani is survived by her mother Jean Workman, brother Dave Workman, husband Art Peel, children Tim Peel, Jeff Peel (wife Dana), Cheryl Gallio (husband Andy), Tami Peel (fiancé John), seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 15th at 1:30 pm, Parkside Bible Fellowship, 485 Tedford Lane with a reception to follow. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2:00-6:00 pm at The Gardens, 2949 Austin Hwy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider giving to the City of Fallon Christmas Tree Lighting fund in her memory as Lani was so proud of this annual community event, and she cherished the joy and traditions that Christmas brings. Donations can be made to the City of Fallon, 55 W. Williams Ave., Fallon, NV 89406. Please indicate “Christmas Tree Lighting” in the memo.

Arrangements are under the direction of The Gardens Funeral Home 2949 Austin Highway Fallon, Nv. 89406   775 423-8928

Lani will forever be missed by all who knew her. I've often joked she nagged me to Jesus. For that I will always be thankful. Praying for all that love and miss Lani.

I just heard of Lani going home to the LORD. Sad for those she left, but she is NOW looking into the face of the Lord Jesus!! She is now home as she is a citizen of heaven. She can't come back to this Earth but through FAITH in CHRIST alone we can go to her and and to Christ!!!

She was a dear friend and sister in the Lord. She will be greatly missed. She taught Sunday school to our kids and our grandkids! What a legacy of service and comittment.

Lani touched so many lives in the very best way. She was the sunshine in our world. Lani was a true Christian who always saw the good in all situations and prayed to our Lord to take over in times of distress. She loved our Lord, her family and her friends. Lani had a huge heart and embraced all whom she met. Our hearts are broken to have lost such a beautiful woman. Our angel has gone to be with our Lord. Lani you will always be in my heart. I was Blessed to have known and worked with you.

She was one of the nicest and loving persons I meant after moving to Fallon almost 30 years ago. She always had a smile and a hug and how are you every time I saw her. She was and is an Angel. Peace be with all of her family and know she is truly with God.
