Mark your calendars to attend the next Intergovernmental Executive Committee meeting at the Fallon Convention Center, 100 Campus Way, 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2022.

Congress has directed the IEC to serve as an advisory board to assist with government-to-government and intergovernmental coordination on matters pertaining to the Fallon Range Training Complex modernization of their land area and airspace. The meeting will focus on discussing matters pertaining to the management of both natural and cultural resources on both the existing ranges and on the proposed expanded area. The committee hopes to encourage a useful exchange of information and opinions necessary to make sure everyone is heard, in hopes of finding resolutions to the concerns of the general public and the local government agencies.

The meeting can be attended in person at the convention center or virtually via Zoom in order to maximize participation. They want to hear from all concerned and interested parties.

The January meeting will be conducted in accordance with the Nevada open meeting law (NRS-241) and will be streamed over Zoom to accommodate broad public involvement. To find more information on the upcoming meeting, please visit www.FRTCModernization.com/IEC.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
