Book Review -- Carol Recommends

This collection of eleven stories by Ruiz Zafon carries on the author’s tradition of captivating characters, interesting storylines, and the gothic atmosphere which is present in his other books including “The Shadow of the Wind.” Included is a story about a labyrinth maker who travels to Barcelona to create a library that will withstand the test of time, a stranger who tempts Cervantes to write a book like no other, and a student who travels to New York City to assist Antoni Gaudi in determining the fate of an unfinished architectural wonder. A thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying read by a master storyteller. 

Carol is the Director of the Churchill County Library.  This is Zafon’s final book. She will miss him.
