Obituary -- Esther G. Shubin

Esther G. Shubin of Fallon, NV. , at the age of 96, passed away peacefully at her home on March 29, 2019. Esther was born and raised in Eureka, KS. After graduation she moved to Los Angeles to be with one of her sisters. That’s where she met and married her husband, Pete. Esther with her husband, Pete, had lived in Woodland Hills, CA for over forty years, working full time and raising a family.  They moved to Santa Rosa, CA., in 1985, after their retirement, to live closer to their son Greg and his family. After the death of her husband in 1996, she remained in Santa Rosa among family and friends until 2003 , moving to Las Vegas, and then later moving to Fallon, NV to be with her daughter and family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Pete; one brother and two sisters. Esther is survived by her sister, Phyllis Thomas and brother John Dunn, both of Eureka, KS; daughter, Alexis Shubin-Viera of Fallon; son, Greg Shubin of Nevada City, CA; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation with interment to follow on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Santa Rosa, California. Memorial Fund Donations may be made to “Esther Shubin Memorial Fund” c/o the Santa Rosa Memorial Park, 1900 Franklin Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.
