Movies and More

A column by the folks at the Historic Fallon Theatre
Movies and More

With fall in the air, November brings some great movies for you to enjoy at your historic downtown Fallon Theatre. We will also be debuting a new movie written and directed by a local Fallonite.

This week on Thursday evening, November 4th at 6:30 join us for the 2017 animated movie Coco, a vibrant, animated tale of family, fun, and adventure about an aspiring young musician named Miguel who embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors to uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions.

Our early movie Saturday, November 6th at 6:00 PM is Remember the Titans, released in 2000 starring Denzel Washington and Will Patton. A great film and true story of a newly appointed African American coach and his high school football team on their first season as a racially integrated unit. At 6:30 we have a special treat from Fallon’s own 15-year-old writer/director Colton Urquhart. Monte Carlo is an unforgettable cinematic masterpiece. Kris is an average family man, but his life is about to take a turn in a much different direction when he finds out his neighbor isn’t who he thought he was. Strange occurrences start manifesting all around him and he learns of an extraterrestrial presence. Please come down and support Colton.

Don’t forget all these movies are free although we are accepting donations for Colton’s movie.

Mark your calendar for November 19th, The Silver Fox Band will be playing on our historic stage for the first time.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
