Obituary -- Timothy Tom Shoopman

February 26, 1960 - October 14, 2021
Obituary -- Timothy Tom Shoopman
Tim Shoopman

“When I was born I was very young.” This was Tim's favorite way to start his story which was completed here on earth on October 14, 2021, As he received a complete healing in heaven. Because he Loved the Lord our God, we know this is only the beginning.

Timothy Tom Shoopman (61) of Fallon, Nevada was born on February 26, 1960 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Norma Jean Kelly and Keith C Shoopman. He went to school in Carey, Idaho after which he served his country in the Army. His service to his country and community did not end there; he later served his community as an EMT and Fire Chief. Tim worked a variety of jobs in the construction industry and to this day has always got excited when he sees heavy equipment at work. The last few years he was a safety consultant: continuing to serve those around him.

Living with Tim was never dull. His whole focus on life was to pull pranks, cause havoc and make people laugh. He was a big family man, always encouraging dinners and outings. He loved spending time with family outdoors, camping, fishing, and offroading. Or not so quiet time with the grandkids. Everyone he met was family; he never knew a stranger. He would share his love of Christ with all in need of Him. He is very charitable and would give the shirt off his back (in fact he has) or drop whatever he was doing to help someone who asked.

He married his soul mate and the love of his life Tracy Ann Bartholomew Gillette in Tahoe on May 3, 2003. Together they would start their mornings with coffee under the stars talking about family, hopes, and dreams.

He relished the role of Husband, Dad, and Pa. Those who knew him would tell you he would light up when talking about his family.

Besides his wife Tracy, he leaves his daughters Cassandra Fox (Justin Fox), Alexandra Shoopman, His bonus sons Carson Gillette (Celeste Gillette), and Tyler Gillette. Our ‘roped in’ son Donavan Barker. Tim relished his role of Pa to Kolton Tom and Oaklee Fox. He left fond memories for his remaining siblings Kaye Sparks, Kelly McIntyre, Jamie Francis, and the mother of his children Leslie Shoopman along with a handful of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by family and friends whose lives he touched and forever changed by his presence.

Make him happy and have a cup of coffee with a friend, if you can share stories of his adventures with you he would love it!

Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11 o’clock at New Beginnings Community Church at 1191 E Stillwater Ave, Fallon Nv 89406

Donations in his memory can be sent to local veterans or Fallon Sea Cadets

Tim will be missed by all he encountered and I know there were many. HIs jokes and love for life was who he was and he was always there to lend a hand. Be at Peace! Condolences to all who shared this man's life. His legacy will live on.

I am so sad to hear this. I worked with TIm at the college. He never failed to make me laugh, I loved to visit with him about his family. And of course his posts on Facebook were always great. Tim will be greatly missed, my condolences to his family, and hugs to Tracy.

Comment author: BonnieComment text: Good Luck to all of you. I mean this sincerely. My family fought the Navy for years. My parents owned Horse Creek (Pat and Linda Dempsey). They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
