Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, Friend and so much more.

Pennie S. Lumen, 58, of Fallon, Nevada passed away after a short battle with a sudden illness.

Pennie was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey on April 30, 1963, to Robert and Shirley Smith. She moved to Fallon with her family in 1969 and made it her home.

Pennie met the love of her life in the Spring of 1984, and they were married on April 24, 1985. In their 36 years of marriage, they created a loving and wonderful family. After their children were grown, her 12 grandchildren became her life outside of her husband.

Pennie was known by her family and friends as a very caring and selfless individual. Her entire family relied heavily on her strength, guidance, constant support, and amazing sense of humor.

Pennie is joined in heaven by her mother, Shirley Smith.

Pennie is survived by her husband, Wendel Lumen; sister, Terrie (Tony) Hollister; brothers, Jeffrey Smith and Robbie Smith; children; Daniel (Tonya) Dockery and Heather (Steven Wadsworth) Lumen; grandchildren, Cameron, Hailey, Connor and Peyton Dockery, Kylend, Bryson, Cole and Averie Powell, Latrell, Lamar, Landen and Sawyer Rose Wadsworth and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At her request, there will be no service held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Pennie's memory to the charity of your choice.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
