ROBIN CONWAY, age 59, passed away on August 15, 2021, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center in Carson City.
He was born on August 13, 1962, in Schurz, Nevada.
Robin graduated from Churchill County High School and shortly thereafter entered the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base. He served as a military police officer in Guam and was a sharpshooter. He made his living as an ARC welder and was active in sports, where he earned a medal in Golden Gloves boxing and played baseball and football. He loved to play spades, dominos, and horseshoes. He enjoyed watching his children dance in the Pow Wow arena. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Robin is survived by his children, Robert Tyler Conway, Kathleen Jane Dressler, Amanda Lynn Conway (Francisco Marquez) and Joelle Kaye Coffman; his grandchildren, Daron, Zane, Jaeleah, Aurelia, Whiskers, and Lucciano; his siblings, Brenda J. Hicks, Lisa George (Lucier George), Colleen Conway, Lynette Fisherman, Ralph Conway Jr., and Edwin Conway (Jackie Conway) and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Robin was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Conway Sr. and Donna Hicks Conway; his sister Theresa Lynne Conway-Caskey-Irwin and his nephew, Nathan Miles Irwin.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon with a private family viewing at 1:00 pm Burial will follow at the Stillwater Indian Cemetery. Potluck to follow at the tribal gym. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home. Casual wear.
