Rodney Eugene Troughton, passed away on August 2, 2021, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rodney was born December 2, 1952, in Hawthorne, Nevada.
He graduated from Churchill County High School in 1971 and after graduation he went to work at the Cock & Bull for 42 years, only missing 1 day of work. When Cock & Bull closed down, he went to work for the Nugget for 5 years and retired 2 years ago.
Rodney is survived by his mother, Dorothy Collins of Meridian, Idaho; brothers, Craig Troughton of Reno and Barry Troughton of Fallon, NV; sisters, Cindy Sparling and husband Jim of Meridian, ID; Pam Smith and husband Mike of Silver Springs, NV; and Teri Siek of Fallon, NV and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Troughton, and his sister, Donna Leaton.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 10:00 am at Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Dr. in Fallon with inurnment to follow at Churchill Public Cemetery.
