Obituary -- Dennis Jay Craig

Dennis Jay Craig passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, after a battle with an aggressive form of cancer. He was 69. Dennis was born June 1, 1952, in Salt Lake City, UT. He served in Desert Storm and later retired from the United States Navy as PR 1st class. He was so proud to serve our country. His passion for the military brought him to Fallon, NV in 2002, where he worked at Top Gun hanger 5 for 16 years.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Debrra Kay Craig, and his parents, Jay and Beverly Craig.

He is survived by his children, Autumn Castleberry, and Owen Craig; brother, Monte Craig; sisters, Lisa Leek, and Debra Black; his depot family and many friends.

Services with military honors will be held on Friday, August 13 at Noon at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon. 775-423-2255.

I worked with Dennis at the Sheriffs Office. Dennis was one of the most caring men I have ever met. Dennis was more concerned about others before himself. He would give you the shirt off his back if he believed it would help. I am going to miss you until we meet again. Although I will always cherish our memories and I am honored and grateful to have called you my friend and brother.
