3rd Annual Mother-Daughter Look-a-like Contest Winners

3rd Annual Mother-Daughter Look-a-like Contest Winners
Rilee and Jennifer Buckmaster

Author: Howieloo Photography, LLC

Two gorgeous women posed gracefully in the garden at The Village Garden Center for Laura Howard, owner of Howieloo Photography who laughed and teased the pair into various poses for their photoshoot as winners of the 3rd Annual Mother-Daughter Look-alike Contest, sponsored by Howieloo Photography and various other local businesses.

The Buckmaster girls, Jennifer Frey Buckmaster, 47, and her daughter Rilee, age 20 are the whole package – beauty and brains. They heard about the contest on Facebook and decided to enter. Jennifer is a resource teacher at Lahontan Elementary School and Riley is a junior at UNR, dual majoring in Accounting and Marketing.

The hobbies they enjoy doing together are going to the lake to jet ski, playing dice games, and crafting/decorating. Jennifer and her husband Karl also have two other daughters, Kayla and Dana.

Howard said she is so grateful for all the local businesses who sponsor this contest every year and for everyone who entered. “We received over 175 entries this year – Wow!”

The Buckmaster’s special Mother-Daughter Day was filled with plenty of quality time for the duo; getting their nails done by Dee Nýchii, getting t-shirts made at Buttsup Duck Designs, receiving flowers from Dandelion Express, having lunch and then ice cream at Skeeters, along with a photoshoot and interview to end the day.

They were excited and said it was definitely a memorable day together.

A special thank you to all the sponsors for another successful year: Howieloo Photography LLC., Buttsup Duck Designs, LLC, Skeeter's - Ice Cream, Espresso, and More, Dandelion Express Florist, Dee Nýchii - nails, Belle La Vie Salon, The Village Garden Center, The Fallon Post.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
