Champions for the Arts Advocacy Day

The Cultural Alliance Nevada hosts "Champions for the Arts" Advocacy day in Carson City today at the Nevda State Legislature. Artists, Arts Educators, Art Students, Arts Organizations from around the state will come together to participate in Arts Advocacy activities and meet their legislators. According to the organization, Nevada is home to 4,942 arts-related businesses that employ 28,551 people. The creative industries accounty for 4.4 percent of the total nuber of businesses located in Nevada and 2.2 percent of the people they employ. Churchill County is home to 30 arts-related businesses that employ 86 people. The creative industries account for 2.4% of the total number of businesses located in Churchill County.
