Egg on Our Face -- Corrections

Not everyone admits it, but we do...
Egg on Our Face -- Corrections

We would like to apologize for misprints in the April 9 edition and issue corrections:

In Pinwheels for Prevention Raise Awareness of Child Abuse, we stated that Sheriff Richard Hickox addressed the gathering, which was incorrect. Sheriff Hickox submitted a statement via Facebook addressing the importance of speaking up about child abuse and that one action could save a child. Justice Court Judge Benjamin Trotter attended the event and spoke briefly regarding his personal experience in a home where there was abuse growing up.

Information on the Mental Health First Aid course was omitted: www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org

The course will be offered via Zoom web conferencing on April 27th from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. To register, email Terry.Maurer@DignityHealth.org

Corrections to March Marriages:

3/17 William Scott Karr, age 25 to Sandy Nichole Zella, age 35 both of Fallon

3/25 Charles Rosenberger, age 59 to Suzanne Davis, age 55 both of Fallon

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
