The AAUW (American Association of University Women) annual film festival will be held on Saturday, March 16, at 1:30 pm at the Fallon Theater. All proceeds will go towards scholarships for Churchill County high school seniors.
The movie this year will be the classic, "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Before showing the movie, AAUW will offer guests hors d'oeuvres, sweets, and Irish coffee. The every colorful UNR movie historian, Howard Rosenberg will discuss the film with us before we view it.
For anyone who has never had the opportunity to hear Rosenberg talk about movies or take one of his cinema classes, it is an experience on it's own and not to be missed.
AAUW would like to invite everyone to this fun event to raise money for local scholarships. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at Jeff's, from AAUW members, or at the event.
