Sixth Annual Community-Wide Reunion Set For Third Weekend in August

The Annual Community Wide Reunion is held on the third weekend in August each year.  This year’s events are set for August 16-18, 2019.  There are several events scheduled starting Friday afternoon, culminating in a fun gathering at Oats Park starting at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, including a free concert at 7:30 p.m.  This year’s concert features Ellis Dyson & The Shambles.  Tours of historic schools and buildings throughout Fallon and other events are scheduled all day Saturday.

Classes celebrating milestone reunions have found it fun and convenient to plan their reunions on this same weekend to take advantage of all the tours and activities that are coordinated.  It’s a great time to visit and catch up with friends, family, and classmates from different graduating classes in one spot.  Everyone with a tie to our community is welcome, whether or not you graduated from CCHS.

If you are one of the organizers for your class, whether or not you are celebrating a reunion in 2019, and would like to reserve space at Oats Park to put up a tent or easy-up, please contact the committee via their Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/communityreunionfallon/ where they post information and updates.

If you need more information, contact 775.423.5465 or email the committee at [email protected]

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear. I remember her fondly from the days of my youth at Northside Elementary, many years ago. She and Mrs. Rowe were my favorite office ladies! I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
