Movie Review -- I Care A Lot

Movie Review -- I Care A Lot

This movie, starring Rosamund Pike and Peter Dinklage, started me out with such high hopes. I Care A Lot is a new thriller/action film where the villain is the main character. While I love a good film about a really bad baddie, this movie did not do that for me. At a longer feature length of nearly two hours, the first hour of this movie was intriguing and garnered interest right away (as it should). However, and I cannot stress this enough, the movie should’ve ended an hour in. I did not have any way of rooting for or sympathizing for the main character until the last ten minutes of the film, and by then it was far too late.
While I will say this film has some excellent plot twists and story motivations, it simply does not salvage itself enough to recommend it highly on my list.

One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
