Let Us Charm You -- The Most Charming Place Around

Let Us Charm You -- The Most Charming Place Around

When Annette Whayn-Haling opened Let Us Charm You at 153 S Maine St in Fallon in June 2019 , she planned to bring a gift shop to Fallon but then her friends said, “You must sell yarn too!” And so, Let Us Charm You with all of its current offerings was born. I fell in love with Annette's personality and kitchen towel scarves quickly. What is a kitchen towel scarf, you ask? It is a kitchen towel sewn to a fabric piece that drapes over your neck to provide two high-quality kitchen towels at waist level! Annette has been amazed by the support she has received in her shop during the pandemic. Somehow the incredible followers of her work have been able to keep her open and doing what she loves the most. Annette has an artist’s eye. She can see something that someone might need in the mundane everyday items you and I might take for granted. Fallon does have a variety of small gift shops with their unique merchandise, but I can promise you this is not a case of “seen one, seen 'em all”. Everyone has their unique niche in the market, so never assume that you won’t see something new and beautiful!

With a passion for sewing and creating, Annette began making double-sided printed face masks that are not only in patterns you would never see on any other face mask, but also affordable for the average family. Annette has other local creators that showcase their products in her shop, making it a safe and welcome place for Fallon's crafters who may not be able to open a storefront of their own. Let Us Charm You features hand-painted candles in terra cotta crocks filled with soy-based candles in various designs that she packages in her home-sewn gift bags for safe and beautiful transport. With a love of all things yarn, Annette offers personal classes to those who would like to learn to create some of the incredible handmade gifts of love she so enjoys making.

Let Us Charm You has a wide selection of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are perfect for gift-giving. I found the ideal birthday gifts for my sister-in-law who will be celebrating a birthday this weekend. Choose from gorgeous silk-wool blend cover-ups and jewelry to hold it in place on the shoulders or a sheer light weight summer cover-up in rich and fun patterns. The store also carries fluffy, warm, beautifully crafted beanies, crochet-edged fleece blankets. mug rugs and short scarves. Hand-painted jewelry, including key rings, earrings, and badge clips are also available. There are face masks in at least 45 different patterns to fit most anyone, many that use her brilliant bead slide system to hang the mask around the neck when not it use. Superb quality hand-crocheted stuffed animals are on display in so many unique and exciting designs and creatures, you may be tempted to take them all home. Let Us Charm You also offers Sawdust Alpacas yarn, and prints their own Fallon Greenwave cotton and fleece material that is used for several different products in the store.

Annette shares her love and support of small businesses, and the quality craftsmanship that she practices in her own work is evident.  She is also planning community events for the pop-up shops that Let Us Charm You hosts for other crafters and small business owners locally.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
