Greenwave Victory Parade and Party at Pizza Barn Tonight

Greenwave Victory Parade and Party at Pizza Barn Tonight
Both the boys and girls varsity basketball teams were successful at the state tournament today in Las Vegas.  The girls team beat Moapa 45-42 and the boys were victorious over Elko in overtime 57-54. This is the first time since 1924 both teams earned a place together in the state tournament. The community is planning a welcome home parade and party for the teams tonight and the public is encouraged to participate. The team will alert the Sheriff’s Department as they leave Hawthorne, and the Sheriff’s department will welcome the team bus at the Berney/Highway 95 intersection as they enter into town. The Fallon Police Department will join in the escort at Drumm Lane. The escort will proceed north on Taylor Street to Williams Avenue, turning east and proceeding to Pizza Barn. There will be two fire trucks stationed at Jerry’s Restaurant, one with the American Flag flying, the other flying the Greenwave flag. Teams are anticipated to arrive into town roughly around 10:00 p.m. tonight, and the community is invited and encouraged to join in the welcome home at any point along the route. Special thank you to Julene Hitchcock and Tiffany Wright for photos.

His mother, father, Karen and Trent were neighbors of ours in Tonopah, Nevada. We moved to Fallon first and then the Kroll's later moved there also. Mother and Wanda were good friends. My brother Michael and Trent were playmates in Tonopah. Mother and my three little children visited the family at their ranch in Fallon. My condolences to Frank's family. May you be comforted to know that I care and I pray you will be comforted by your memories of Frank. Sincerely,Comment publication date: 4/30/26, 11:51 AMComment source: Frank Robert Kroll
