Vipers and Free Bird Yoga - Coach Orduna & Macy Myers Team Up

Vipers and Free Bird Yoga - Coach Orduna & Macy Myers Team Up

The Fallon Vipers soccer team, made up of local girls ages 12 and under, is now collaborating with Fallon local Macy Myers, owner of Free Bird Yoga studio, and the new sponsor of the girls’ team.
Macy Myers was a varsity soccer player during her time at Churchill County High School, and played at the collegiate level. She now owns Free Bird Yoga studio on Maine Street.
Myers will help train the girls by sharing her stretching and fitness techniques with the players on the Fallon Vipers. Yoga has increased in popularity both throughout the community and around the world. There are benefits to yoga for mental health, overall fitness, and injury prevention for athletes.
The Viper’s coach, Miguel Orduna, began the all-girl youth soccer organization to teach girls about life, giving them tools for success through the fundamentals of soccer. His partnership with Myers and her yoga studio is another step into the direction of Orduna’s successful coaching philosophy.
“There are not enough words of excitement for me to express how thrilled I am to have her as a coach and to sponsor our club,” Coach Orduna said.
Orduna also said that Myers will be helping him continue to teach the girls the importance of learning a healthy lifestyle within her sponsorship of the team.
“I’m very excited to partner with Coach Miguel and the Vipers,” Myers said.
Myers was a former player of Orduna’s and said that soccer has had a big place in her heart her entire life. “When Coach Orduna reached out to me with the opportunity to mentor and support his girls on and off the field through a healthy lifestyle, healthy mentality, confidence, and physical well-being, I couldn’t agree fast enough,” Myers said.
Both Myers and Orduna look forward to seeing how yoga can benefit the team overall, as well as individual players. While many sports are still lightly staffed (or not played at all due to COVID precautions) Coach Orduna, Macy Myers, and the girls on The Fallon Vipers are working together to stay in shape and play as much soccer as they can.

His mother, father, Karen and Trent were neighbors of ours in Tonopah, Nevada. We moved to Fallon first and then the Kroll's later moved there also. Mother and Wanda were good friends. My brother Michael and Trent were playmates in Tonopah. Mother and my three little children visited the family at their ranch in Fallon. My condolences to Frank's family.
