NOTICE OF ELECTOR REGISTRATION FOR THE TRUCKEE-CARSON IRRIGATION DISTRICT

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election of the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District (District) will be conducted the 9th day of March 2021. Eligibility to vote requires registration by District electors pursuant to NRS 539.127. Registration for the election is now open and will close Tuesday, February 23, at the hour of 4:30 p.m. o’clock. Voter eligibility in the District is based upon ownership of land in the Newlands Federal Reclamation Project to which a surface water right is appurtenant. The District will extend regular business hours for voter registration on Thursday, January 14th, and Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. o’clock at the District Office, 2666 Harrigan Road, Fallon, Nevada. Appointments for registration may be made by telephone by contacting Ida Adams, District Field Registrar, at (775) 423-2141. Persons having questions regarding current registration status or voter eligibility may also contract the District by telephone at (775) 423-2141. COVID-19 related safeguards remain in effect for all District staff.
