At their meeting on Dec. 16, the Commissioners honored county employees celebrating their work anniversaries.
The ceremony started with a moment of silence to honor Churchill County Museum Director Dan Ingram, who passed away earlier this month. He had just reached five years serving in that position.
Also celebrating a five-year anniversary with the county was Heather Neidigh from the Assessor’s Office.
Cecilia Sanchez of the District Attorney’s Office and Marcie Compau with the Sheriff’s Office were recognized for their 10-year county anniversaries.
Lacie McAfee from the Recorder’s Office was honored for 15 years with the county.
Three employees were honored for 20 years of service: Melvin Jabines of the Sheriff’s Office, Gary Rothery with Facilities, and Preston Denney with Public Works and Planning.
Rounding out the honors, commissioners recognized Naomi Steele of the Road Department for her 25 years of service to the county.
Each honoree received a plaque and lapel pin to mark their employment anniversary.
Combined, these nine employees represent more than 130 years of service to this county.
