Carol's Book Review -- The Reader's Room

The Readers’ Room by Antoine Laurain
Carol's Book Review -- The Reader's Room

The reader’s room in a publishing house is where unsolicited manuscripts end up from authors who are hoping to get discovered.  Then readers read them looking for the gem in the slush pile. Great work if you can get it I think. And so begins this literary mystery. A book is discovered, published, becomes a best-seller, and is nominated for a top prize. But the author communicates only periodically through email and never really materializes at all. Editor Violaine Lepage becomes involved in figuring out what’s going on in this delightful little book. Beautifully written with interesting characters.

This title is available 24/7 through downloadable ebook via hoopla on the library website and in print.

Carol is the Director of the Churchill County Library which is currently as quiet as some people think a library should be.

She is most definitely a collaborator and is very well known throughout the state for her assistance as a Nevada SBDC business advisor, especially related to agriculture and local food entrepreneurship and systems. His mother, father, Karen and Trent were neighbors of ours in Tonopah, Nevada. We moved to Fallon first and then the Kroll's later moved there also. Mother and Wanda were good friends. My brother Michael and Trent were playmates in Tonopah. Mother and my three little children visited the family at their ranch in Fallon. My condolences to Frank's family.
