Lahontan and Stillwater Conservation District Elections

This year is an election year for the Lahontan and Stillwater Conservation Districts.  There is a total of six district supervisors on the board. Five of those supervisors are elected officials and one is a designated County Representative. This year we have two terms that will expire at the end of 2020. Nominations of candidates will be made from the floor. All registered voters residing in the districts are eligible to vote. Those district supervisors who are up for election may run again. However, there are those who have served on the board for many years and would like to relinquish their positon to someone who would bring new ideas and outlooks to the Lahontan and Stillwater Conservation District.

Lahontan Conservation and Stillwater Conservation District Elections will be held Thursday November 5, 2020 at Churchill County Commission Chambers located at 155 N. Taylor St., Suite 145, Fallon, Nevada at 6:00 pm. Please attend the elections, nominate yourself or another person for the board and cast your vote!

If you have any questions regarding the roll of a Lahontan or Stillwater Conservation District Supervisor please contact Christy, the District Clerk at 775.423.5124x10 1. Hope to see you there!

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear. I remember her fondly from the days of my youth at Northside Elementary, many years ago. She and Mrs. Rowe were my favorite office ladies! I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
