Viviane's Reviews - Getto Subs

Viviane's Reviews - Getto Subs
File photo: Getto Subs pre-COVID

A classic small-town deli, Getto’s Subs never disappoints.

For some reason, a sandwich is the thing I am always in the mood for year-round. I always love getting to see my food made in front of me, and especially during a pandemic – knowing it’s done with the correct precautions.

Not only is meat and cheese with some veggies between to pieces of bread a fantastic combination, but the bread is freshly made. My favorite part about a great Getto’s sandwich is the wonderful blend of proportioned ingredients.

There is never too much veggies to make me feel like I’m eating a salad, and never too much money to make me feel like I’m eating a roast.

If you haven’t already, grab a tasty sub from Getto’s, and add a homemade cookie to your order to treat yourself.

Comment author: Patti Cole Comment text: Marie will be forever treasured in memories. The memories remain of a soft-spoken, seemingly unassuming but determined individual who absolutely knew what path she wanted to take in life, and followed it. Her instinctive reactions, which highlighted her steadfast level of love and caring for her family, friends and all living things found in nature, hold lessons for us all. An unexpected splash of her self-deprecating humor, coupled with uncanny timing, will always bring a smile. For me, Marie lives on in the sighting of a Black-crowned night heron in the tules, the bloom of a beautiful spring flower and, most poetically, in the struggle of wildlife photographers handling their very large camera lenses. Her dad Ted was my dad's brother. I never knew Ted or Betty, but I wish I did. I am 73 and live in IL. I am building my family tree and see where Betty has fit in. Blessings to you Curt and family.
