Fallon Theatre Show N Shine 2020

Fallon Theatre Show N Shine 2020

Author: Viviane Ugalde

The Fallon Theatre held their annual fundraiser Tuesday night in Fallon, with classic cars and classic music, right on classic Maine Street.

This year, the Show ‘N Shine raised money for the restoration of the marquee of the historic Fallon Theatre. The goal is to raise $45,000 to cover the costs of the marquee, and they have so far raised $5,000.

Every car, from a flashy red Shelby Cobra to the classic jet-black Chevrolet Chevelle SS had been brought to show off and  owners from the region were there to support the Fallon Theater.

Members of the Greenwave Quarterback Club, Lincoln Highway Band, and the Rusty Canteen also supported the cause with fantastic food, music, and drinks.

Although the event has come and gone, there are still opportunities to help the Fallon Theatre with their goal. People can continue to make donations to the theater, or share their skills with volunteer opportunities within the theater. Any skills from customer service, stage craft, organizing, media, preservation, lighting and plumbing, or advertising are welcome.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
