Viviane's Music Reviews - Still Woozy

Viviane's Music Reviews - Still Woozy

Still Woozy, a stage name for the Oakland based Sven Gamsky, has no full album yet. But he is creating music that is new and different.

He combines many electronic and acoustic sounds together to create songs perfect for long drives in the rain or lying on the beach. Falling under genres like indie-pop, and electronic soul, Still Woozy has a sound different from electronic dance music.

My favorite of his creations, Goodie Bag, was released in 2017. He continues to release singles only because he is known for not wanting to wait to release his music. Many times, he will release a song the same day it was finished in production.

His new single, BS, has a similar sound to his previous tracks. There is a call of woefulness with lyrics that say otherwise, and an upbeat bridge that again has opposing feelings within the lyrics.

His music is not similar to many others, making it hard to sell to the common audience, but Still Woozy’s creativity and melding of electronic with acoustic makes his music interesting to listen to.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
