Viviane's Back to School Review -- Dreamland

An album to listen to on the bus ride, or drop-off to school
Viviane's Back to School Review -- Dreamland

A band that I love, Glass Animals, released a new album called Dreamland.

This album has clear experimentation with sounds and melodies, and some absolutely exceptional bass for a song you can crank up in your car. This album is great to listen to on the way to or from school for many reasons.

First, there is a song for every mood and subject. The opening and title track, “Dreamland,” is a song that shows a self-awareness of the times and of those growing up in them. The song is about wanting what we miss, like big parties with friends, young love, and is a song that will change your life.

As the album progresses, tracks are broken up with audio of home videos from the band. Not only does it make for an interesting and unique intermission, but it creates a sense of togetherness and nostalgia for home.

This album also has fantastic upbeat song for running at the gym, or surviving sitting in the back of the bus on the way home from school called “Tokyo Drifting”.

Glass Animals has done what they are known for, and created an album that has some different sounds for all ears.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
