What we missed this week – Night in the Country

What we missed this week – Night in the Country

Originally this weekend, people would be loading up their camping gear, grabbing their straw hats and cowboy boots, and making their way to Yerington for the Night in the Country music festival. Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus, it has been postponed to July 2021.

Night in the Country is a musical festival for those who don’t want to drive too far, and like artists played on KBUL and other country radio. The good news, is the artists meant to perform this year have agreed to perform in the 2021 lineup. One of those headliners, includes the long popular Marshall Tucker Band.

There are quite a few things we’ll miss this weekend because there is no Night in the Country. We will miss camping out in the long summer Nevada nights with more than five friends and a nice drink, as we dance to the fun vibes of many country artists from around the country.

Maybe it's a good time to brush off some old Marshall Tucker and have some friends over to watch the comet in the back yard.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
