Two Additional COVID Positives Identified in Symptomatic Testing

Fallon, NV –  Churchill County officials were notified today of two county residents who are additional positive cases of COVID-19. This brings the cumulative number of PCR-positive COVID cases to 10. Of those 10, six have already recovered, one died and there are three active cases.

The latest patients are both males: one in his 20s and one in his 40s. Both work outside of Churchill County. All three are quarantining at home.

Higher numbers of positives are expected as more and more people are tested and numbers come in on Churchill residents who are tested in neighboring counties.

County leadership urges the community to remain vigilant in fighting the virus by maintaining 6-feet of social distancing, washing your hands and avoiding groups of 50 or more per current Phase 2 guidelines.

For those wishing to take a diagnostic COVID test, voluntary, drive-through testing is being conducted at the fairgrounds on Thursdays. Please call (775)423-6695, option 2 to schedule your appointment.

Testing totals through June 4:

  • Symptomatic: 585 tests – 549 negatives, 26 pending, 6 recovered, 3 active positives, 1 death
  • Asymptomatic (at the fairgrounds): 649 tests – 637 negatives, 12 pending
