Author Talk -- Lynn Lloyd

Before the COVID quarantine there were book talks at the library, the latest was with Lynn Lloyd
Author Talk -- Lynn Lloyd

by Susan Weikel --

Fallon, Nv. -- An inspiring evening was held at the Churchill Country Library before the outbreak of the social distancing phenomena. A healthy crowd gathered to listen to Lynn Lloyd and Ron Belbin share a conversation centered around Lynn’s book, “Seven Sets of Horseshoes: An American Journey.”

The sincerity in Lynn’s warmth and honesty as she reacted to Ron’s questions drew the audience of listeners into the events and characters she encountered during her remarkable journey across the United States, on horseback. If Lynn wasn’t laughing as she recalled various events of her adventure, she was smiling as she told about the current undertaking at Red Rock, outside of Reno, where she has founded Red Rock Hounds, the first hunt club in Nevada, in the style of red coats and foxes.

Lynn’s message -- ‘If you feel it, go do it’ was felt by all as those who had come to hear Lynn left the library. Her message of inspiration sparked the interest of all who attended. She inspired people who heard her to reach for their dreams, take the challenges that will be fulfilling, and enjoy the ‘ride’ with positive energy.

Lynn is an enjoyable storyteller well worth sharing time; her book is available at the county library if you missed this chat and want to share her stories, as well as on her website at: www.lynn-lloyd.com/

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
