Frey Ranch Distillery Donates Hand Sanitizer Throughout Community

Fallon, Nv. -- In response to the spread of COVID-19 and the resulting nationwide hand sanitizer shortage, Frey Ranch Distillery is now producing of hand sanitizer at its facility in Fallon, Nevada. The first batch was distributed to local businesses and organizations including Banner Churchill Community Hospital, Hawthorne Army Depot, the Churchill County Volunteer Fire Department, and the Nevada Trucking Association, which delivers to grocery stores throughout the state. 100% of hand sanitizer produced will be donated, with the exception of organizations that are unable to accept donations (such as the United States Postal Service).

At this time, Frey Ranch Distillery is prioritizing distribution of its hand sanitizer to first responders and those on the frontlines who are keeping essential businesses open to service the community.

"It’s in our nature as farmers to help out our neighbors and the greater community during times of hardship," says Frey Ranch Distillery CEO and Co-founder, Colby Frey. "When we realized there was an opportunity to assist by making hand sanitizer, it was a no-brainer for us. We plan to continue production over the next few weeks and will reassess the need within our community as the situation continues to evolve.”

Rob Carnahan, CEO at Banner Churchill Community Hospital was on hand to receive the shipment of hand sanitizer. "We're so grateful to be part of such a supportive community," he said as Colby and his wife Ashley donated 24 gallons of hand sanitizer to the Churchill Community Hospital.

"My family has been farming in this area for generations and we've always been able to count on our fire department and our local hospital in times of need - now it's our turn to return the favor" - Co-founder, Colby Frey

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
