ChurchillCSD Monday Update

ChurchillCSD Monday Update
Monday, March 23, 2020, 4:00 p.m.—Update from ChurchillCSD Update About ChurchillCSD Instructional Days and Times -- As we work to create normalcy in this time of uncertainty, we are asking students and families to utilize the regular instructional day for learning conversations with our staff. Staff will be responding to any questions and providing support for families and students during normal instructional times (see the chart below for those times). We understand that for some students and families working in the evening may be necessary and just ask that you please email your child’s teacher if it is imperative to have an evening contact. We will continue to ensure that our staff is available to students and families—if you would like to contact your child’s teacher, please reach out to the teacher via email, using your classroom app (DoJo, ClassTag, or others), or you can call the District Office at 775-423-5184, leave a message, and we will make sure your message is sent to the right person. Outlined below are the instructional periods for each school, Monday through Friday: Secondary: CCMS, CCHS 8:10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Elementary: Lahontan, E. C. Best, Numa 8:25 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Pre-K: Northside Early Learning Center 7:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. Instruction During Spring Break Spring Break is March 30th - April 3rd: Please note, no new content will be pushed out to families or students during these dates. Take this time to refresh and renew the best you can during these trying times. Teachers will be available on the 6th of April, but no new content will be pushed out until April 7th.       Support local, independent news – contribute to The Fallon Post, your non-profit (501c3) online news source for all things Fallon. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
