Grange Sponsors Concert
submitted courtesy of Suzann Gilliland-Peterson -- the High Desert Grange The High Desert Grange sponsors Folklorica Benefit Concert Enjoy a night of two folkloric music and dance groups on one stage Saturday, March 28, at 6:00 in the auditorium at the Old High School 710 S. Maine St., Fallon. General Admission is $15.00.  Sponsored by the High Desert Grange, all proceeds benefit programs, activities and education for students of Nuestra Herencia Mexican/Grange (Fallon) and Flor de Castilla (Reno).  Specifically, money raised during this concert will help fund the groups’ participation in the upcoming Danzantes Unidos Festival dance competition in Fresno, CA. The Danzantes Unidos Festival includes dance workshops, a large folklorico market, performances and competitions by all group levels, a showcase for professional level groups, activities for directors and parents, and live music for over 2,000 participants.  Danzantes Unidos is THE cultural network of Mexican folk dancers and artists.   Last year, our Nuestra Herencia Mexican won the National Grange competition in Santa Rosa, CA.
