Churchill County Democrats met on January 9 to hear more about planning and training for the 2020 Nevada Democratic Presidential Caucus. Volunteers are still needed to help with early voting, Feb. 15-18 at the Old Post Office, and the caucus itself on Feb. 22. Anyone interested in volunteering to help can go to https://nvdems.com/2020-caucus for more information.
A mock presidential caucus will be held on Jan. 25 at the Churchill County Public Library Annex at 10 a.m. Registered Democrats who would like to learn more about the process are welcome.
Nick Lal of the Pete Buttigieg campaign spoke about the work he is doing in the area. He is contacting voters from Churchill, Lyon, Pershing, Storey and Mineral counties. The local Buttigieg campaign headquarters are in the old Fallon Food Hub facilities on Center Street. Anyone interested in helping is encouraged to contact Lal.
The annual Sawyer-Bryan fund-raising dinner will be held on May 16 at the Fallon Convention Center. A planning committee is being formed. Anyone interested in being part of the committee can call 867-4229. The next regular monthly meeting of the Churchill County Democrats will be on February 13, just before early voting.

Comment text: September 11, article Civics 101
I would like to commend Rachael Dahl and the Fallon post for their article. Civics 101. This is a reminder that we as citizens live in a representative form of government and why it is so important that we vote as voting is our way of making our voice heard.

Comment text: Knew Sis from the B of A as a teller and in social gatherings around Fallon. When we bought our land in Kingston, Sis regaled us with her stories of gatherings at the old restaurant & bar on the way to Groves lake. Sis often said, 'What happens in Kingston stays in Kingston!' Fun & funny lady.

Comment text: So sorry for the pain your family is suffering. She is in comfort of Jesus arms. This is Ruth Fiege, Gary's cousin from WI.
I can't begin to imagine the pain your family is suffering. So much comfort in knowing she and baby are with Jesus.
God Bless you all during this tragedy. Love, Ruth Fiege
