Obituary -- David McPherson

Obituary -- David McPherson

Beloved father, grandfather, and friend. David was one of the most inspiring men. He lit up the room with his presence. He was the most gentle, kind-hearted man who loved everyone. He loved his family, friends, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

David was born in Alameda, CA with three other siblings, John, William, and Bonnie. As a young boy he loved to ride bicycles and work on cars. He developed a strong work ethic throughout his life. He worked his career at General Motors, JC Penny’s, Trex, and Mars. He was a member of the Clampers and would do anything for anyone. He moved to Nevada in 1987 and raised his three children Jarod, Michelle, and Monica. In 1999 he moved to Fallon, NV and loved being there working on tractors and old antique tractor equipment. He is survived by son Jarod and twin daughters Michelle and Monica. He has six grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Hailey, Jayla, Maliyah, Adalyn, and Payton. Those who have been touched by David’s compassion, love, and his big heart will never forget him. He has made an impact on so many of us. He had inspired each and every one of us. He will be greatly loved and truly missed. The world was a better place with him.       Support local, independent news – contribute to The Fallon Post, your non-profit (501c3) online news source for all things Fallon. HagenComment text: What are MFNs and PBMs ?? ............................ From the editor: This is a very good question and we apologize for not catching that wasn't in there. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
