The Churchill County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest in connection with a violent attack at Sand Mountain on Saturday, Oct. 31.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. near the restrooms in the Vendor Row area.
Investigators are seeking information about an adult male with a light to medium complexion who was wearing a black hooded zip-up sweatshirt, white shirt, and black gloves.
Anyone who was at Sand Mountain during that time, particularly near the Vendor Row restrooms, is encouraged to review cellphone videos, GoPro recordings, dash camera footage, or other recordings that may have captured activity in the area.
Investigators are also asking anyone who witnessed the incident, observed suspicious activity, or has information that could help identify the person involved to come forward.
