When Laura Robertson posted on Facebook hoping to find one or two people interested in getting together to craft, she received more responses than she expected.
Robertson started Friendly Crafts and Chats to bring local hobbyists together, share their interests, and meet new people.
The group gathered Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Rush Coffee Company and Rhythm Taphouse, where participants pulled tables together, ordered beverages, and settled in for an afternoon of crafting and conversation.
Projects included crochet, jewelry making, lantern jar art, and cross-stitch embroidery.
Robertson said machines are not permitted because of limited space and noise concerns.
Those interested in future gatherings can contact the group at [email protected].
