The No Hill Hundred Century Bike Ride drew 190 riders to Fallon on Oct. 3 for 30-, 60-, and 100-mile routes through Churchill County.
The ride, part of the America 250 celebration, began and ended at the Rafter 3C Event Center. Churchill County Parks and Recreation and the Rotary Club of Fallon hosted the event.
Parks and Recreation Supervisor Lana Chenoweth, LaKrisha Ernst and Junior Simons welcomed riders during check-in and greeted them again as they returned at the end of the ride. Participants received refreshments and raffle prizes included with their entry packages.
Fallon Search and Rescue members were stationed along the routes to assist riders at checkpoints.
Among the participants were Ed, Bill and Ross Stunsrud, a father, son and uncle from Seattle, San Diego and Reno, respectively. The three had been planning to participate in the event for two years and rode with back numbers 1, 2 and 3.
Celebrating their ancestry, the trio wore matching cycling jerseys featuring the Norwegian flag.
