After reading Leanna Lehman’s article about license plate readers in Churchill County, I came away feeling reassured.
Before reading the article, I was generally concerned about Flock cameras, especially in Fallon. The explanation of the rationale for the county’s license plate reader, the concerns surrounding the technology, and the official responses helped me better understand how it is being used locally.
As I follow events in Washington, D.C., I often feel concerned about how government is functioning nationally and internationally.
By contrast, this article left me reassured about how our local government is approaching this issue.
The situation had not changed because I read the article. What changed was my understanding of it. Good local reporting gave me the information I needed to feel better informed, and I value that.
Thank you.
