Local gamers and aspiring creators gathered in the Churchill County High School computer lab for a hands-on “Meet the Developer” event featuring game designer Brad Warren.

Warren visited the lab to install his newly released game, “Sunken Realms,” on the lab computers, giving attendees an opportunity to play the game, talk with its creator, and learn about independent game development.

“Sunken Realms” launched on Steam two weeks before the event after generating more than 60,000 wishlists before its release.

Students, local gaming enthusiasts, and community members attended the event and had an opportunity to ask Warren questions about game development.

For local game design students, the session provided a look at the process of modern game production, from designing core game mechanics to digital marketing.
