Fallon Youth Club Dinner and Auction Draws More Than 300

More than 300 people gathered Sept. 19 for the Fallon Youth Club’s annual Dinner and Auction, an evening of fundraising and community support that included a $5,000 donation from Western Alliance Bank.

The event was held at the Fallon Youth Club facility at 324 Pennington Circle. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser help support the organization’s childcare programs, including the Fallon Youth Club and The Little Clubhouse on Taylor Street.

The organization provides affordable childcare and programming for children in Churchill County. According to the Fallon Youth Club, tuition and grants do not cover the full cost of its programs, making community fundraising an important source of support. The organization also receives no grant funding for three months each summer.

The Little Clubhouse provides another childcare option for local families, including those who qualify for childcare vouchers. The facility also reserves space for children entering foster care, allowing some children to remain in Churchill County rather than being placed outside the community because local childcare is unavailable.

The annual Dinner and Auction helps bridge the difference between revenue from tuition and grants and the cost of providing childcare. The Fallon Youth Club credited local businesses, families, volunteers, and community members for supporting the organization and its programs.
